Today looks like another glorious spring day, and I've got something fun for you to listen to as you run around the city (ideal urban listening), drive around the countryside, or do whatever it is you're doing today - in my case, it's sitting behind a desk and trying to figure out my server backup problems.

On to the music. This is the meeting of two, I think, ingenious musical minds: Ellen Allien and Apparat. I've featured both of these artists here on MFR more than once, because they're both on the cutting edge of Germany's music scene. Allien is the head of the Berlin-based Bpitch Control label, and Apparat (ne Sascha Ring), co-runs the Shitkatapult label with his partner Marco Haas, aka T.Raumschmiere. Respectively, they've both released a handful of classic electro/techno records, particularly Allien's Berlinette album, and Apparat's recent Silizium EP - both well worth your investigating if you aren't aware of them.

Well, now Bpitch is releasing this incredible collaboration they've done, in album form, Orchestra Of Bubbles - the record really sees the fusion of their techniques and songwriting, especially on this track, all cut-up and banging, as well as the opener "Turbo Dreams," on "Way Out," "Jet" and the slowed way down "Edison" and closer "Bubbles."
